Minesweeper is the classic logic puzzle — reveal all safe cells on the board without detonating a mine. Numbers tell you how many mines are in adjacent cells. Use logic to deduce which cells are safe and flag the dangerous ones.

This version features 4 difficulty modes (Easy, Medium, Hard, Custom), a flag system, chord clicking for expert players, hint support, a best-time tracker, and a leaderboard.

Left-click any cell to reveal it. If it's a mine — game over. If it's safe, it shows a number (1–8) indicating how many of its 8 neighbors are mines. Blank cells with no adjacent mines auto-expand.

Right-click (or long-press on mobile) to place a 🚩 flag on a suspected mine. Flagged cells can't be accidentally clicked. Your remaining mine count updates as you place flags.

Chord click: Once a numbered cell has exactly the right number of flags around it, left-click it again to auto-reveal all un-flagged neighbors — a huge time saver at higher levels.

Win condition: Reveal every non-mine cell. You don't need to flag all mines — just uncover all safe cells.

Start from corners and edges — the first click is always safe. Corners often open up large blank areas that auto-reveal quickly.

The 1-2-1 pattern: When you see 1-2-1 in a row along an edge, the mines are always at the two outer ends. This is one of the most common solvable patterns.

The 1-2-2-1 pattern: Along an edge, this pattern means the two mines are directly behind the 2s. Memorize this — it appears constantly on Hard mode.

Never guess if you don't have to. Work through all logical deductions before guessing. On Easy and Medium, most boards are fully solvable without guessing.

Use chord clicks aggressively on Hard — once you've flagged enough mines around a number, chord-clicking that number can instantly open 5–6 cells at once.

What do the numbers mean?

Each number shows how many mines exist in the 8 cells immediately surrounding that cell (horizontally, vertically, and diagonally). A cell showing 3 means exactly 3 of its neighbors are mines.

What difficulty levels are there?

Easy (9×9, 10 mines), Medium (16×16, 40 mines), Hard (16×30, 99 mines), and Custom (choose any grid size and mine count). Custom mode lets you create ultra-hard boards or tiny quick games.

How do I flag mines on mobile?

Long-press (tap and hold) any unrevealed cell to place or remove a flag on mobile. A flag toggle button is also available in the toolbar for easier switching between reveal mode and flag mode.

Is the first click always safe?

Yes. Mines are placed after your first click, ensuring you can never hit a mine on your very first move. Your first click will always open a safe area — usually several cells at once.
