Even after hosting four-star defensive tackle Sam LeJeune on an official visit, it felt like a long shot for Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies to reel in his commitment, but those chances have gotten even slimmer.

On Saturday night, Rivals' Chad Simmons logged a crystal ball prediction for the Florida State Seminoles to land a commitment from the 6-foot-3, 280-pound product of Poplarville High School in Mississippi, who took an official visit to Tallahassee over the weekend.

That was the last of four stops for the nation's No. 119 overall prospect and No. 11 defensive lineman, according to the 247Sports Composite, after trips to Auburn, California, and Washington. After hosting him on seven different occasions, coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles always appeared to be the favorites for the disruptive defensive lineman, even though the Huskies clearly made a sizable impact late in his recruitment.

Defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi extended an offer to LeJeune in mid-May and did an impressive job to get him on campus for an official visit as the Huskies look to continue adding high-end defensive linemen to their rotation up front.

If the Huskies are able to pull off a late upset, LeJeune would be an ideal addition to defensive coordinator Ryan Walters' pass rush. The Poplarville product is an impressive athlete for his size who plays with great strength and explosiveness, routinely collapsing the pocket from the interior while showing the versatility to line up all over the formation, something that Washington's second-year defensive coordinator greatly values.

Washington currently holds four defensive line commits in the 2027 class: four-star defensive tackles Jon Ioane and Tevita Nonu, four-star edge rusher Chaz Gray, and three-star defensive lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei.
