Nvidiaโs investment in Taiwan has seen a substantial increase over the years. โFourย years ago, five years ago,ย Nvidia was spending about 10,ย 15 billion dollars a yearย in Taiwan. Now weโreย spending 100, going to 150ย billion dollars in Taiwan eachย year,โ Huang stated during the launch celebration in Taipei for the chipmakerโs planned Taiwan headquarters at Beitou Shilin Technology Park on Wednesday, reported Reuters.

โTaiwan is booming,โ Huang said, adding that the new site will employ around 4,000 people. โโฆThis is whereย the chips come, packagingย comes, this is where theย systems are made, this isย where AI supercomputers were created.โ
Nvidia's new headquarters, set to begin construction this year and open by 2030, will place the company closer to key manufacturing partners, including Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd. , Foxconn , Wistron , and Quanta Computer .
This announcement also comes on the heels ofย Advanced Micro Devicesโย declaration of its intention to invest more than $10 billion across the Taiwan ecosystem to expand strategic partnerships and scale advanced packaging manufacturing for next-generation AI infrastructure.
