Marvin Harrison Jr. reveals sad truth about Jacoby Brissett's absence

The Arizona Cardinals are about to wrap up the voluntary part of their offseason program and quarterback Jacoby Brissett still has not shown up. He is sitting out while he seeks a new contract that pays him like a starter.

While teammates have been supportive, understanding that it is a business move he needs to take care of and this part of the offseason is voluntary, there are some consequences.

The biggest is the fact that Brissett has not had a single on-field rep with teammates in the new offense.

This is the truth that one of his teammates, receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., revealed on Tuesday when he was asked about getting work with Brissett. When asked if he has found ways to build chemistry this offseason, he said, "Not much."

"Obviously, he's got to be here to do that," he said, "but I'm all in support of what he's doing. He has to do what's best for him and his family."

Brissett is 33 years old and likely has the last opportunity of his career to get a raise. All expected starting quarterbacks not on cost-controlled rookie contracts will make at least $19.5 million in 2026.

Mandatory minicamp is next week. We will see if Brissett shows up. If he does and if he participates in practices, he and Harrison can finally get those reps they need together.
