Manchester United had one player involved in international action last night. Noussair Mazraoui started for Morocco in their 4-0 win over Madagascar.
He was part of Morocco’s squad that eventually won the Africa Cup of Nations after Senegal were punished for walking off the field in protest. Mazraoui played just 20 matches all season in the Premier League and accumulated a total of 984 minutes.
The full-back played 66 minutes before being substituted in the match.
He was not required to make any interceptions or clearances and did lose out on his only tackle attempt.
Mazraoui was effective in duels, winning six ground duels and 100% of his aerial battles. He also recovered the ball twice.
Mazraoui really shone in attack as the champions of Africa put Madagascar to the sword.
He made three key passes and created two big chances in the match.
Mazraoui also completed 92% of his passes and 100% of his long ball attempts.
