There is a lot of talk about the players that PSG could be signing this summer – but the European Champions will also be looking to move players on.
Top of the list is Lucas Chevalier . Last summer’s €40m addition from Lille has not worked out – he lost his place in goal midway through the season, and it sounds like the club are ready to cut their losses on him already.
Journalist Romain Collet Gaudin is reporting that Aston Villa are interested in signing the stopper.
Villa have Emi Martinez as their starting keeper – but he’s expected to leave the club this summer, creating a perfect space for Chevalier to join as first choice.
The Frenchman has plenty of talent and is still young. He just needs a fresh start, and an upwardly mobile club playing in the Champions League could be a perfect spot for him, especially under a top coach like Unai Emery.
If a good price is found, this could work well for Villa, PSG and the player.
