SeaWorld Orlando reported a record‑breaking 3.6 million tickets sold for its Halloween event, “Midnight Mysteries,” in the week leading up to the holiday. The park’s new experience features a lineup of brooding, dark‑clad male actors who play romantic‑fantasy antiheroes, a stark shift from its previous family‑centric shows. Ticket sales jumped 30 % from last year, putting the park ahead of other Orlando attractions.

The change comes after SeaWorld struggled to draw visitors following the 2018 “Blackfish” backlash and the closure of several marine shows.
