NFL teams are starting to inquire about former Texas Tech quarterback Brendan Sorsby . Sorsby decided to enter the NFL Supplemental Draft, which takes place in July.
Sorsby decided a few days ago to part ways with the Red Raiders after the controversy surrounding his gambling started to become a problem for the school.
Now, as an NFL prospect, the young QB is drawing interest from teams, including the Arizona Cardinals .
According to Arizona Sports' John Gambadoro , the team may be interested.
“It will be like almost any other pro day. I expect the Cardinals to be represented,” Gambadoro said. “What I can tell you is the Cardinals have done a lot of extensive research on Sorsby already, because there was a chance he could have been in this year’s (NFL Draft).
“I would expect that they will have interest. Where in the draft, I can’t tell you. But because they don’t know if they have an answer at quarterback, they will continue to look at the quarterback position. Having Carson Beck in the third round does not rule out the Arizona Cardinals from taking a chance on Sorsby in the supplemental draft.”
Besides the Cardinals, the New York Jets might be another team interested in Sorsby, since they didn't draft a quarterback in this year's draft.
