The Holy Quran (القرآن الكريم) is the central religious text of Islam, believed by Muslims to be a revelation from Allah (God) to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the archangel Gabriel. It is the most widely read book in the world.

The Quran consists of 114 Surahs (chapters) containing 6,236 Ayahs (verses), organized into 30 Juz (parts). Surahs are classified as either Meccan (revealed in Mecca before the Hijra) or Medinan (revealed in Medina after the Hijra).
